UPSTAIRS AT UNITED

A few months back, I was lucky enough to be a fly on the wall at two separate recording sessions for United Record Pressing's Upstairs at United series. The first being Chuck Mead & His Grassy Knoll Boys and the second being Henry Wagons. Both sessions were equally special and they each had a definitive mystique about them. The Motown suite has so much charm and I really feel like it gets embedded into the recordings. Watching it live, recorded directly to analog tape, these recordings never touch the digital world. The recordings were done by Chris Mara who is head Engineer at Nashville Studio, Welcome to 1979. You aren't going to experience anything but pure enjoyment from these sessions, so I hope you decide to add them to your ever growing vinyl collections.

Below are a couple of sample images from the inserts (including my live shots from the sessions) and a still from United Record Pressing's Facebook page of the records being prepped.

These will be available Tuesday November 5th, 2013 at your local record store or online at www.453music.com
